20 Things Every Brand Should Know About Instagram
As a Millennial, I can attest to the fact that Instagram is an effective platform when it comes to reaching me with ads. I find the sponsored ads on Instagram to be relevant and appealing–not annoying, like so many other platforms. I’ve made multiple purchases off of them (or other items from that particular brand), and actually found a few interesting startups to write about, as well.

1. Over half of all 18- to 29-year-olds in the U.S. are on Instagram
It’s 55 percent, to be exact. If you’re looking to connect with this audience, it’s a good idea to be here.
2. Adult users in the U.S. have doubled since 2012
Remember that this isn’t just new users joining, but younger users coming of age.
3. 31 percent of female internet users are on Instagram, compared to 21 percent of male internet users
